Initial Professional Development is the stage in your career where you develop the skills, knowledge and competence needed to practice as a civil engineer or technician. During this stage, ICE requires that you achieve the Development Objectives set out in the ICE 3005 booklet. Attendance on a relevant Thomas Telford Training course can contribute to your attainment of the defined standard required for each Development Objective. You may find the following courses helpful:
ICE Professional Reviews The Professional Reviews are the final stage in attaining professionally qualified membership of ICE. The components of the Professional Reviews comprise:
- an experience report;
- a project report;
- a presentation;*
- an interview; and
- a written assignment under examination conditions.*
Success at the Professional Review requires thorough preparation and Thomas Telford Training offers courses dedicated to helping you.
