The Wrekin Housing Trust is a registered social landlord regulated by the Housing Corporation. The Trust is Shropshire's largest landlord, with over 12,000 homes across the Telford area; its aim is to provide quality affordable homes to rent.
The need
The Trust had embarked on a major 5 year capital investment programme in order to bring its transferred housing stock up to an acceptable standard, together with the instigation of a long term planned maintenance programme.
In line with Egan and Latham principles, the Trust sought to let an increasing number of contracts on a partnering basis under the NEC ECC. In order to do so the Trust sought training in the NEC family of contracts for their in-house Surveyors and mixed group of key employees.
The solution
Thomas Telford Training ran a one-day 'tailored' in-house course at the Trust's premises in Shropshire.
The Trust's Surveying Manager stated: "The course tutor was very knowledgeable, delivery was excellent and the course ran like clockwork. We were very impressed with Thomas Telford Training's professional approach to training."
