Thomas Telford Training is delighted to announce the launch of a new suite of training courses focussing on Sustainability.
Integrated with the key aims of the Institution of Civil Engineers' Sustainability Development Strategy the training delivers "how to" capability for the practicing professional.
What will I learn?
This suite of courses effectively covers the key aspects of sustainable development, including:
- the drivers - moral, financial and legislative
- the options - design, construction, and new technology
- the impact - during design, construction and end use
- the returns - social, environmental and commercial
The training is focussed and immediately deployable delivering practical advice in an effective, understandable and useable way.
Who is it for?
These courses are ideal for all members of the project team - clients, designers, contractors and operators, as well as local and county authority staff who have responsibility for ensuring best practice compliance for sustainable development.
They are also relevant for Graduate Civil Engineers as Sustainable Development is one of the key attribute groups that need to be demonstrated at the Professional Review. Review candidates will be expected to demonstrate competence in the application and management of sustainability and a continuous development of knowledge and practical capability.
Who will be leading the training?
The training will be run by subject matter experts and practicing professionals with extensive hands on knowledge of developing and delivering practical solutions on a wide variety of engineering projects.
