CDM 2007 - A step change
The new CDM regulations represent a step change in construction health and safety legislation. They bring the CDM 1994 regulations and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) regulations 1996 into a single regulatory package that provides a clear focus on management, communication, co-operation and competence within the project team.
Roles and responsibilities have changed and even those familiar with CDM will need to bring themselves up-to-date with the wide-ranging changes to the regulations.
Training – the key to implementation
Understanding the new regulations and their impact is the key to implementing the required changes and integrating them into your organisation’s business. The changes will impact many people and training has a vital role to play in ensuring that they understand the regulations, the changes in their own roles and in the roles of others they work with.
Thomas Telford offers a range of training options. These deliver a detailed review of the changes introduced by CDM 2007, consider the impact they have on the industry and offer clear advice on best practice. They will ensure you are fully informed with the information necessary to modify your practices and procedures to fully comply with the new regulations.
