The Need
Scott Wilson run an innovative and structured graduate development programme for its UK businesses. This provides a training framework for graduates in their first three years with Scott Wilson. A core aspect of the graduate development programme is the technical training stream, which is run regionally in Scott Wilson offices throughout the UK. More than 400 graduates go through the programme each year requiring a significant level of logistical and administrative support alongside high quality tailored course content. Scott Wilson needed a provider to organise and deliver the technical training programme to their exacting standards and requirements.
The Solution
Thomas Telford Training has successfully partnered with Scott Wilson to provide a ‘Bespoke’ technical training solution for their graduate development programme. The initial stages of the partnership were key and saw a collaborative approach where Thomas Telford training experts and Scott Wilson staff scoped the requirements of the training programme and its deliverables.
A Programme Manager was appointed as a single point of contact thus streamlining all communications between Thomas Telford and Scott Wilson’s Learning and Development Consultants and ensuring that all services are delivered on time and to Scott Wilson’s satisfaction.
The Programme Manager ensures that course content is of high quality and of utmost relevance to the specific needs of Scott Wilson graduate trainees. Graduates are asked preprogramme questions and feedback is used to further tailor course content. Thomas Telford handles all administrative aspects of the programme from Scott Wilson branded notes to delegate enrolment. Effectiveness of the programme is closely monitored with reporting of delegate attendance and feedback.
